All-New Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 & Vitpilen 250 Launched In India

Husqvarna Motorcycles has introduced the all-new 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 at Rs 2,92,000 and the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 at Rs 2,19,000. Two new huskies have just arrived in India. Both bikes, which are priced at Rs 3,10,520 and Rs 2,39,000 (all ex-showroom Delhi), respectively, are based on the new KTM 390 Duke and the KTM 250 Duke.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 401

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 is a bit larger and bulkier than the previous generation motorcycle, but it still has the quirky Husqvarna design language. It features a new aluminium swingarm, a new trellis frame, and a subframe that are all taken from the KTM 390 Duke. Consequently, there has been a redesign of the rear end and side panel design. A 398.63cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 46PS at 9,000 rpm and 39Nm at 7,000 rpm powers the scrambler.

An adjustable 43mm WP APex inverted fork and a WP Apex monoshock with preload adjustability make up the suspension setup. A 240mm rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS and a 320mm front disc brake with sintered pads handle the braking duties. Aside from these technical specifications, the vehicle has a seat height of 820mm, ground clearance of 177mm, kerb weight of 171.2kg, and a 13.5-liter fuel tank. With 17-inch spoke wheels at both ends, the tyre setup consists of 110-section front and 150-section rear Pirelli Scorpion tyres.

The 5-inch TFT instrument console on the Svartpilen 401 is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity as an optional feature. Along with many other rider aids, the scrambler has Supermoto ABS, ride-by-wire, traction control, and a quickshifter. The Yezdi Scrambler, Royal Enfield Scram 411, and Triumph Scrambler 400 X are its competitors.

Husqvarna Vitpilen 250

The Vitpilen 250  built on the same trellis frame, subframe, and swingarm as the new KTM 250 Duke. The Vitpilen 250 does, however, stand out on its own thanks to its rounded LED headlight design, distinctive side panels, and rear end. Its 249.07cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine generates 31 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and 25 Nm at 7,500 rpm.

The new KTM 250 Duke and the Vitpilen 250 share the same trellis frame, subframe, and swingarm. Nonetheless, the Vitpilen 250 stands out on its own because of its unique side panels, rear end, and rounded LED headlight design. Its 249.07cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine produces 25 Nm and 31 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 9,500 rpm, respectively.

The bike  equipped with the same rider aids as the Svartpilen 401, including traction control, ride-by-wire, quickshifter, and Supermoto ABS. However, it lacks Bluetooth connectivity and has a 5-inch LCD instrument console. Rivals of the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 include the Suzuki Gixxer 250, Dominar 250, and KTM 250 Duke.
