The focus of the event was on how the company’s cloud and artificial intelligence services benefit developers. In fact, Nadella gave it a more profound twist and shared his ambition to be able to “empower every person in India and the planet to achieve more” with the help of Microsoft services.
Nadella stated, “The goal is to use Copilot to help us do more.” That’s precisely what Microsoft India & South Asia President Puneet Chandok did. He used Copilot to create a stunning AI-generated image of Bengaluru to open his address. Next, Github India’s Senior Managar, Karan MV, gave a demonstration of how Github Copilot can now assist developers with coding and creating sign-up pages. Microsoft also provided examples of how Copilot’s generative AI tools are being used by startups and NGOs to empower Indians living in rural areas. One such instance was the Sikshana Foundation, which developed Shiksha AI—a teaching plan creation tool—using Microsoft Copilot to empower teachers in government schools and non-profit organisations to complete otherwise laborious tasks in a matter of minutes.
ChatGPT
Another example that was given was of Sarvam AI, which helps users who are not very smartphone-friendly by using voice LLM in Hindi to enable ChatGPT features. It functions similarly to expanding the availability of ChatGPT’s voice feature and adding support for regional Indian languages.
Karya AI
Another example of a voice-powered chatbot that Maharashtra women can use to streamline daily financial tasks like opening a bank account, applying for a loan, and making payments is Karya AI.In addition to the more recent startups, Microsoft revealed that some of the more well-known Indian companies that have embraced copilot early on include Air India, Paytm, Blinkit Swiggy, Nykaa, Ola, and Meesho.It is accurate.
