Kinetic Luna electric launch in India on February 7

The scheduled launch date of the E-Luna is February 7, as confirmed by Kinetic Energy. Reservations for the same had already opened as of January 26. On the other hand, the forthcoming E-Luna’s starting ex-showroom price of ₹71,999 has been made public due to its listing on e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart. It remains to be seen now if this is a fake price or if there is a special event scheduled for the day.

Remaining true to its motorcycle origins, the upcoming E-Luna will maintain its tough and useful body design. The E-Luna is listed on e-commerce websites and, despite the lack of information regarding its chassis, it will have a 150 kg loading capacity, a telescopic fork, and dual shock absorbers.Additionally, a 2 kWh Li-ion battery and a 2 kW electric motor will power the moped, generating 22 Nm of torque at the wheel. Notwithstanding its practical uses, the E-Luna can travel 110 kilometres on a single charge and reach a maximum speed of 50 kilometres per hour.

The E-Luna, an all-electric moped, will also benefit from some new technology. For starters, it will have a fully digital instrument cluster that shows important data such as the battery’s state of charge, a high beam indicator, a speedometer, etc. The E-Luna will also have a roomy footboard, side stand sensors, and a detachable rear seat to accommodate additional luggage. The battery pack that it will hold is the primary reason why the final design will emerge. Additionally, a USB charging port will be available on board.

Mulberry Red and Ocean Blue are the two colour options available for the E-Luna on Amazon. It remains to be seen if Kinetic Green offers any new options at all.

Performance and Efficiency

The Luna Electric boasts an amazing range of 110 kilometres on a single charge, powered by a 2 kWh battery pack. Given that its top speed of 50 kmph complies with urban commuting regulations, city dwellers will find it to be an excellent option. A smooth and effective ride is guaranteed by the peak torque of 22 Nm, and the 4-hour charging time meets riders’ practical needs.

The 2024 Kinetic Luna Electric currently has no competition in the quickly changing electric two-wheeler market. The petrol TVS XL moped, which retails for between Rs 44,999 and Rs 59,695 (ex-showroom), may be the nearest competitor.TVS is developing an electric XL that will directly compete with Luna Electric. Because of its affordable price and appealing mix of features, performance, and sustainability, Luna Electric is a strong contender in the market.

A key turning point in Kinetic Green’s dedication to sustainable mobility will be reached with the introduction of the 2024 Kinetic Luna Electric. Travellers who care about the environment will be drawn to the Luna Electric because of its attractive design, remarkable performance, and affordable price. With the world moving towards greener and cleaner options, the Luna Electric is a great option for people who want to embrace electric mobility without sacrificing efficiency, convenience, or style.
