Vivo G2 with 13-Megapixel Rear Camera and Dimensity 6020 Chip Unveiled: Cost and Features

The Vivo G2, the brand-new low-cost smartphone from the company, was released on Friday in China. The smartphone has a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6020 processor. It also has 256 GB of internal storage and up to GB of RAM. Additionally, a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support  included with the phone. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer claims that out of the box, it runs on OriginOS 3, which is based on Android 13.

Vivo G2 cost and accessibility

For CNY 1,199 (approximately Rs. 14,000), the base model of the Vivo G2 with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is available. The smartphone is also available in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB capacities, with prices of CNY 1,499 (about Rs. 17,500) and CNY 1,599 (about Rs. 18,700), respectively.

At CNY 1,899, or approximately Rs. 22,200, the most expensive configuration is available, with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. In China, the Vivo G2 is available to buy in a single Space Black colorway. Regarding plans to release the phone in other markets, such as India, Vivo has not provided any information.

Vivo G2 features and specifications

OriginOS 3, an Android 13-based operating system, powers the dual SIM (Nano) smartphone, the Vivo G2, which  just released. The phone has a 6.56-inch HD+ (720×1,612 pixels) IPS LCD screen that has an 89.67 percent screen-to-body ratio and a refresh rate of 90Hz. A 7nm Dimensity 6020 CPU with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM powers the phone.

The 13-megapixel f/2.2 rear camera on the Vivo G2 is capable of taking pictures and recording videos. For making video calls and taking selfies, the phone also features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.8 aperture.

The Vivo G2 comes with up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack are among the connectivity options available. There are several sensors on board, such as an e-compass, proximity, ambient light, accelerometer, and flicker sensor.
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged at 15W. For biometric authentication, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner is included. The Vivo G2 weighs 186g and has dimensions of 165.74×75.43×8.09mm, according to the manufacturer.
